What's up, buttercup? A giveaway...

Ahhh.... what a busy week.  I have to admit... I haven't gotten much done around here.  School has started.  My butt has been dragging, but today, I finally got the last part of my kitchen redo done.  (I still have a lot of cleaning and organizing left to do.  The contents of my kitchen cabinets are piled on my table.) Now comes the next phase... figuring out what to do with my backsplash.  So, here's my new cabinets.

I used to have a chalkboard for my backsplash... it's still there.  Needs some touching up now, but I'm not sure that's what I want to do.  (Although, that's probably what I'll do for now... I'm kinda broke after buying the fridge, cabinets, and granite. lol) With the dark countertops, I kind of think the chalkboard makes it too dark.  What do you think?  What would you put there?  I love bright colors...  I've even posted about my Fiestaware before.  I have 6 place settings and each one is a different and super bright color.  Those beauties are now on display in the cabinet with the glass doors!

Here's my dilemma.  I am in love with bright colors, but I'm afraid to go crazy back there... because I know whatever I do, I'll be stuck with it... possibly FOREVER!  My heart is torn between something fun and funky or something normal and neutral.  :-( What do I do!?!?!?

Now... onto that giveaway I was talking about.  ;-) One of my bloggy buddies, Jeannie at 2nd Grade Surprise, is having a giveaway over at her blog and it is a big one!  You better head over there so you don't miss out!  I'm giving away my basketball set.  :-) Oh... and I can't help but mention how cute Jeannie's little mini-me looks on her giveaway button!  I'm so proud that she likes it enough to use it for stuff like this!  ;-D

I hope you all have a restful weekend...  I sure do hope I get back into the groove soon.  I'm tired of being so pooped!  Thanks for "listening" to me rant and rave...  lol  :-)
