Another New Set... Tons of Frames!

It's spring break!  Yay!  I just posted a new set the other day.  I think you'll like it.  It's a huge set of frames! 75 in fact! Go check it out!  I'm gonna keep it short and sweet because I'm exhausted. Just got home from an overnight trip to St. Louis.  Had tons of fun, but crammed wayyyyyy too much into 36 hours.  Bet I'll sleep good tonight!  :-)

Hope you had a good weekend!

New Mythology Set

My sweet buddy, Nicole, from Teaching With Blonde Ambition, asked me to make her some Greek Mythology clip art.  I, of course, said, "Sure!" Now we're sharing it with you.  It's freshly posted on TpT!  Go get you a set!

Are you going on Spring Break this week or have you already had yours?  I'm very happy to say that in less than 24 hours, I will be enjoying the knowledge that I don't have to be at school at all for the next week!  Not that I don't love my job.... just ready for a pause!

It's almost Friday!

Did you miss me yet?

It's been a weird week. I just wanted y'all to know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!  First off, it's the week before our spring break. That's always weird.  Everything is always out of whack in the library.  Kids on field trips, kids leaving early for vacation, and just general insanity! Second, I have been sick with the stomach flu. I even stayed home yesterday. I NEVER stay home! Saturday night, my 91 year old MeeMaw (that's grandmother, for those of you not from the South. lol) fell and broke her hip. :-( She's doing ok, though... Just not very happy about having to be in the hospital.  Anyway, with all that being said, I haven't been around much.  Next week, you guys better look out.  I plan on making up for lost time.  I have at least 2 sets almost ready to go!  One is a HUGE frame set and the other is a Mythology set!  It's been a really slow week in the store, too.  I'm only pouting a little over that.  ;-(

Hang in there... the week is almost over!

A New Set! Country Music Kids!

In case I haven't mentioned it much, I still do custom clip art.  I'm still small enough to have time to do that, but my TpT store did hit a milestone yesterday... I've finally sold $100 worth!  That doesn't exactly make me famous (yet) but for silly little me, it ain't too shabby.  Back to that custom stuff.  My buddy Greg over at Smedley's Smorgasbord has been an awesome customer, so when he asked me to make him a custom country music set, I of course said, YES! It was fun, too.  I hope you can think of some brilliant ways to use it.  I just know you will!  Wanna see it?  Here it is!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

24 hour BOGO Sale...

I've never tried this before, but two days of no TpT sales has me kind of bummed.  I admit it.  So, Imma gonna sweeten the pot.  If you've been wanting something from my TpT store, but just haven't bought it yet, now's the time! By one set, get one set that's equal or lesser value for free.  This sale will only last 24 hours from the time stamp on the bottom of this post.  Here's how it will work:

Pay for the higher (or equal priced) item on TpT.  Email me: libraryfox@rocketmail.com and tell me your TpT username and what product you want for free. DO NOT BUY THE SECOND SET ON TPT!!!  I'll email it to you ASAP.  :-) How's that sound?  Here's hoping it sounds good!  Send your friends and send them here too, because what I posted last night about giving something away when I get to 50 blog followers still stands! Do I sound desperate? I'm getting there!  ;-) Visit my store by clicking my button on the right hand side! :-)

Thanks for being my bloggie buddies!  It's almost Friday!

This is NOT a font!/Not a Stick

Ok... I guess I probably read too many children's books, but from the very beginning of my clip artist career, when I have made a set of colored letters, I always have "This is NOT a font" in the title and every single time, it reminds me of a book that I love to use with my littlest students called, Not a Stick by Antoinette Portis. (She also has another one called Not a Box) It is just the greatest little book for getting your students up and moving and using their imagination.  Since I'm responsible for helping to teach drama at our school, I use the book to introduce Kindergarten students to the drama vocabulary, PROPS, because the piggie in the story has a stick, and he pretends that the stick is all sorts of things from a horse to a set of barbells! No matter what, it's NOT a stick! After we finish the story, I allow students to come up one at a time and use my yardstick to role play and like in charades, other students get to guess what they are pretending.  Sometimes I have to remind them not too make it too hard, but they LOVE the book and the activity.  (So do I.) :-) Who knows, maybe you could find a way to use that in your classroom?

Anyway, back to the clip art! Here's my latest NOT a Font! What do you think?  I've used them for everything from titles on things to sell on TpT to signs and bulletin boards in the library! What would you use them on?  Help me get to 50 followers and I'll give a set away!  I'll even let you pick from my "Not a Font" sets in my TpT store! What do ya think about that?!

It's almost hump day! Hang in there!

It's me again, Margaret!

Does anyone else love Ray Stevens? Do you even know who he is?  If you don't, I highly suggest looking him up on youtube.  I grew up on Mississippi Squrrel Revival! I'm showing my age... and my A.D.D., because this is not what I came here to blog about! :-)

I just made a new set and I was hoping someone might find it useful! I love crayons.  Really.  Even as a grown up, I still love to color! So I made a set of crayons.  16 individual crayons, a box & a black line drawing for your coloring pages.

What could you use them for? If you have some great ideas, share them in the comments below! Hope y'all had a happy Monday!

Sunday Night blahhhhh....

Does anyone else feel blahhhhh this time of year?  I know I should be pumping these kids full of information, but I just don't seem to have the energy.  Thank goodness for great teachers that post awesome products on TpT!  My new friend, Lindsay, from Primary Polka Dots, is totally awesome, too! (She also went to school at MSU in KY just like me! It's a shame I never met her there!)

This is her latest creation! I fell in love immediately.  It's a perfect activity for the library or any reading classroom AND it uses MY clip art! How could I not love it!

My plan? I teach drama along with ELA skills.  I'm going to have my students infer information about the puppies and then they will show me how their puppy would act in skits! I think it will be a lot of fun.

Have a great week! (Hope you don't have the blahhhhs like me!)

Freebie!

I am cheap frugal. I admit it and embrace it.  I guess it comes from my upbringing.  We didn't have a lot.  My dad was self employed... for those of you who don't have experience with that, just let me say it's feast or famine... a whole lot more famine than feast in our case! lol! I wouldn't trade it for the world though. It made me who I am and helped me to be tough and wise with my $. Enough about me... since you all have been so sweet with your comments on my newly formed blog, I made you something for FREE.  Just go to TpT and download it!

I have so many different accounts, usernames and passwords...  There's just no way to remember them all!  So print this out and stick it in your binder so you don't have that problem anymore.

Happy Sunday! (Try not to think about Monday.)

My Favorite Clip Art Set Ever...

...Even if I did make it! It was inspired by my love of dogs.  Obviously I love my dogs! Their cartoon versions are on my blog header.  Here they are in real life... and if you're gonna be reading this blog, you're probably going to need to know their names.  They are Bella on the left and Keimosabi (a.k.a. Mo) on the right and that furless one in the middle is me.  :-)

Not to be a downer, but we lost our Aunt Sadie-Lady this week.  Before you get too upset, Sadie-Lady was my dad's Golden Retriever.  We loved her very much.  My love of the 3 of them, inspired this set! It's been the most popular item in my store so far, and to be honest, if I hadn't made it, I'd probably have to buy it.  ;-)

See?  It's not often that I fall in love with something I make.  Like most people, I'm my own worst critic.  Let me know what you think?  Are you a dog lover? What kind do you have? For some reason, I'm attracted to neurotic husky pound puppies. ;-)

Hope you've got a fun Saturday night planned.  Me... I plan on eating a whole bunch of pasta and crashing afterwards since I woke up before 6am this morning! What is wrong with me?!?!

I'm new to this...

Yeah, that's right.  I'm new to this whole blogging thing, so don't kill me if I commit any bloggish type fowls fouls. :-) Anyhoo... I plan to post things that I'm doing in the library, clip art that I am selling and all kinds of random stuff.... and believe me... I'm VeRy RaNdOm and A.D.D.... oh look, a chicken!  He's a little preview of my RaNdOm animals set that I hope I'll get finished eventually!

Right now, I'm really busy with custom stuff and stuff I need to do for myself.  That's ok though! I love being busy!  I'm just one of those people that can't function without a mile long to do list!

Before I go, I'll just say, if you're reading this and you get this far, leave me a comment so I'll know you're out there! If I get a few peeps that are following, maybe I'll give something away!  Who knows?  :-)
